In March 2020 as a result of not raising sufficient funds we went back to the “drawing board” and commissioned a redrafting of the design to attempt a simpler/cheaper version of the building. We discussed these at a joint meeting of the PCC and the Project Team – this was done against the background of looking at the immediate future given that we are heading towards an interregnum. The Project Team have met with a wide variety of individuals and groups from across the local community – who have been given the opportunity to review the plans and comment on whether or not what is planned would be useful in supporting what needs to be in the area.
